Over the Rhine may be one of the best bands you've never heard of even though they've been consistently making incredible music for over twenty years. They are an American, Ohio-based folk music band, the core of which is the husband-and-wife team of pianist/guitarist/bassist Linford Detweiler and vocalist/guitarist Karin Bergquist. Over the years, they have toured and recorded in many variations. They have shared the stage with Bob Dylan, John Prine, Adrian Belew, Squeeze, Ani DiFranco, My Morning Jacket, Hem, and toured as "adjunct" members of Cowboy Junkies. Now, they are in the process of transforming an old barn into a concert hall/recording studio, and they will be hosting their first arts and music festival on their farm this Memorial Day Weekend. If you live anywhere close or if you're in the mood for a nice drive, check them out live near Cincinnati, Ohio May 28 & 29 with special guests: Joe Henry, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Lily & Madeleine, Birds of Chicago, Lucy Wainwright Roche & More.
